About White Manta

White Manta is a 38-metre boutique liveaboard built in 2017, run with a strict 12-guest cap across six spacious en-suite cabins. A crew of nine — including expert Raja Ampat guides — keeps the boat moving between remote anchorages, while kayaks, a camera station and a wide dive deck support back-to-back diving in comfort.

Expedition FAQ

Minimum Open Water. We strongly recommend Advanced Open Water for Dampier Strait current dives and Blue Magic. Bring your certification card and logbook.

Very remote. Some sites are 10+ hours by boat from Sorong. This is part of the appeal — you will dive reefs that see fewer than 50 divers per year. Emergency evacuation planning is in place for all itineraries.

Water temperature ranges from 26–30°C. Visibility averages 15–25m, occasionally reaching 30m+. A 3mm wetsuit is sufficient; 5mm recommended for night dives and thermocline crossings.

We've found pygmy seahorses on every trip to Misool for three consecutive years. We don't use the word guarantee, but our guides know exactly where to look.

Absolutely. We can connect you with trusted guesthouses in Waisai and Sorong. Several guests combine our liveaboard with a few nights' land-based diving at Kri or Arborek.

Full refund 60+ days before departure. 50% refund 30–59 days. No refund within 30 days. Transferable to a future date (once) at no charge with 45+ days' notice.
