Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Mantavaya (the “Platform”). By creating an account, browsing trips, or completing a booking, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to make a booking or hold an account.

Mantavaya is a marketplace that helps travelers discover and book boat and liveaboard trips in Indonesia. The trips themselves are operated by independent boat owners and operators (“Operators”). Mantavaya facilitates discovery, booking, and payment; it is not the provider of the trip and does not own or operate the vessels listed.

Your booking creates a contract for the trip between you and the relevant Operator. Mantavaya acts as the booking and payment facilitator for that contract.

When you book a departure, you agree to provide accurate traveler details and to meet the requirements of that trip (such as arrival times, boarding location, and any experience or health requirements set by the Operator). The trip details, itinerary, and inclusions shown at the time of booking form part of your booking.

A booking is confirmed once payment is completed and you receive a booking confirmation. Availability is limited and is only held for you once the booking is confirmed.

Prices are shown inclusive of the amounts payable at checkout, with no hidden fees added at the final step. You may view prices in a display currency (for example US Dollars or Indonesian Rupiah); the display currency is for convenience only and uses an approximate exchange rate.

Payment is charged in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) through our payment provider (NCB Nustar / Artajasa). Card payments are completed on the provider’s secure hosted payment page. Verafi does not store your full card number. Your payment may be subject to the payment provider’s own terms.

Refund eligibility depends on how far ahead of departure you cancel and on the cancellation terms that apply to your specific sailing. The applicable terms are shown before you pay and on our cancellation policy page.

Operators may set trip-specific cancellation terms, which take precedence where stated. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers trip cancellation.

To book, you create an account with your email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. We may ask you to verify your email address before you can use certain features.

Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization.

You agree not to use the Platform to:

• break any applicable law, or infringe the rights of others;
• submit false, misleading, or fraudulent booking or payment information;
• interfere with, probe, or disrupt the Platform, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it; or
• scrape, copy, or resell listings or content without our permission.

The Platform, including its design, text, and branding, is owned by Mantavaya or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Operator listing content (such as vessel photos and descriptions) belongs to the respective Operators. You may not reproduce or reuse this content except as needed to make a booking for your own use.

The trip is provided by the Operator, who is responsible for its conduct, safety, and quality. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mantavaya provides the Platform “as is” and is not liable for the acts or omissions of Operators, or for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under applicable law. The specific limitation of liability, and any statutory consumer rights that apply, are subject to legal review. [Pending legal review: liability cap and consumer-rights carve-outs]

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, is used fraudulently, or where required by law. You may stop using the Platform and request that your account be closed at any time. Closing your account does not affect bookings already made, which remain governed by these Terms and the applicable cancellation terms.

These Terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the laws of, and subject to the courts of, a jurisdiction still to be confirmed. [Pending legal review: governing jurisdiction and dispute-resolution venue]

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Continued use of the Platform after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
